Public Boating Safety

America's Boating Course, is designed to familiarize students with the
fundamentals of safe boating and qualify for certification required by the
State of Ohio before operating a watercraft.

Subjects include:

o Boat handling under normal conditions
o Adverse conditions and emergencies
o Types of boats and boating terminology
o Required and recommended equipment
o Boating regulations and navigation rules
o Lines and knots
o Charts and aids to navigation
o Piloting techniques
o Marine radiotelephone usage
o Trailer boating


Dates & Times: Begin first week of February and run +8 weeks,

Weekly from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Text book cost $35
